In 1999, Ralph Stövesandt joined forces with guitarist Monty Meerstein in Düsseldorf to form the duo »Rhapsody in Strings«. It was not long before the musical saw became a highlight of the programme. Double-bass player Tom Wilke joined the band in 2005.
